My name is Dr. Lauren Kettmann. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Burlingame, California specializing in individual, family and couples counseling for adults and adolescents. My therapeutic approach explores the underlying beliefs and emotions that impact your behaviors, relationships and moods. I have obtained extensive experience counseling individuals with a broad range of clinical issues including, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship dynamics and life transitions.
My clinical approach is specific to you and your personal circumstances. My goal is to work along side you as you identify and meet your life goals. I strongly believe that you have the ability to work through challenges and emerge a stronger and more informed individual. Your therapy will help you gain greater insight into yourself and your relationships.

I have always approached life with a curiosity about human interactions and a desire to know more about myself, others, and relationships. I later pursued a formal education in psychology which provided me with the skills and understanding that I needed to work effectively with others to achieve their goals. Upon completion of my graduate degree, I began working as a psychologist providing individual, group, and family services. In addition to my private practice, I also work at Kaiser Permanente in the Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. My complete training education and training experience is listed below

Insurance
I am an “out of network provider.” This means I am not currently on any insurance panels. However, most PPO and POS plans offer partial reimbursement for “out of network provider” psychotherapy services.
Your insurance provider can give you specific information about your coverage and reimbursement rate. I will provide clients with a statement to submit for reimbursement.
Payment
I work on a fee-for-service basis and my rate is comparable with that of other local psychologists. This rate will be discussed in our initial consultation. Payment by cash or check is due at each session.
I ask that clients notify me of problems with making scheduled appointments or the need to reschedule 24 hours prior to the appointment time. As is customary, my policy is to charge for late cancellations and non-appearance for scheduled appointments.
